As a clinician, you can utilize this platform to de-stigmatize one thing Ghanaians struggle with the most: seeking help related to their mental health. Your goal will be to break down the barriers and stigma associated with mental health challenges. Clinicians will learn how to lead and maintain discussions and create safe spaces where individuals can share their experiences without fear of judgment.

WHY GIC?

You will be able to adapt your clinical assessments to honor the rich amammerɛ (cultural) diversity within Ghana, recognizing the nuanced ways in which mental health is understood and expressed across Ghanaian communities. This approach acknowledges the interconnectedness of individual well-being with family, community, and the broader social and cultural context, echoing the holistic perspective found in many Indigenous healing traditions.
